"Referring to the wire splicing jig you use, (Webmaster edit - Reference: How to Articles, Make a Wire-Splicing Jig) please consider this: Solder has little strength. From everything I\'ve been taught never use solder as \"glue\" to hold wires together. Instead, always make a good mechanical connection first, then apply solder. Solder increases electrical conductivity and that\'s why it\'s used. For a good mechanical connection, try the old Western Union splice which adds little to the diameter of the conductor. Check it out on Google. I\'ve been a ham radio operator for almost 46 years and worked professionally in microwave electronics for several years. My soldering knowledge comes from experience and what Quality Control folks taught me. Other than that one soldering misstep, the rest of your web site is great and I\'ve book marked it. Keep up the good work. Tom."

"After designing a couple of planes I realized that designing the linkages and finding ideal servo locations is time consuming. I go to the extend of measuring control horns, links, servos and draw them so I can see how the whole thing works before actually getting to build. I think that if I don\'t design detailed plans of the linkages I will be tripping on problems during building which can be more difficult to solve than on the drawing board. Being on the third design I already have some bits of hardware designed. So here is my tip for beginner designers like me: You\'ll find useful to make a pick and mix library of the hardware you have already used on your previous designs, no matter what software you are using (Corel Draw in my case). I am redesigning flap linkages to work on one servo only and found it very handy to have the hardware bits already designed as well as the servo. Some servo manufacturers provide detailed designs of their servos and that is a thing to look for if you are working on a project and you still don\'t have the servos. I don\'t find many detailed drawings of links and control horns on the Internet. When I buy them online I end up buying two or three different kinds of the same on the hope one will do the job I want. Just an Idea."

"hey paul, I especially liked your ply veneerd landinggear I\'ll certainly will give it a try on my next project, it will certainly match my vintage (saused...) planes..... I keep on loving wood to build with ,altough I also fly epoxy ducted fan jets.... (sorry..) but as a 46 years old lifetime modeller ,woodcarving evocates notalgic ,real modelling \"roots\" feelings happy landings.... stef \"stick\" de wit.... we all know that grav\"ity alwauys wins at the end ,but fighting\" weekendwars against her gives me my weekly adrenalineshot.........!!"
