IT FLYES!! The model I designed and built flew today for the first time. It was flown by the guys from the club. hardly any trimming needed. I consider this my first real rc design and was succsseful thanks to the information you made available in this site. The flight review was excellent. The club guys call it the submarine because of the upper shape of the fuselage. Next time someone will bring a trainer cable and I will have a go. I am now a respected model airplane designer and I am even considering joining the club. The field is at an altitude of 1500m (about 4900 ft). Almost a mile above sea level. Before it flew everybody was a little skeptical because the engine is a small .1 OS LA 10. It didn\'t want to come down for landing. The engine was cut and it was a long glide down. The engine was cut accidentally when trying to make it idle lower. Because of the altitude I was using a 15% nitro mix. Thanks Paul!

"I recently designed and built a trainer type aircraft, which although eventually sucessful, took a lot of mistakes and scrapes to perfect, if only i\'d know about this place back then! an excellent website with a wealth of valuable information and experience, i plan to use it to my advantage when i build the next aircraft, many thanks for putting the amount of dedication in, that it must have taken to produce such a useful site."
